Activity Puppy
Is play/chewing considered activity for a puppy?
Puppy has been playing/ chewing with toys for the past 1.5 hours. I haven’t taken him out for his morning walk yet because I’m doing stuff around the house. He seems content doing this, but I was just wondering if this would be considered activity for the puppy. We will still go for his walk later this morning, then another one this afternoon- but I still want to know if chewing will cause puppy to become tired or not.

Oh sorry, he’s a 14 weeks, almost 15 weeks. He’s a german shepard/husky/blue heeler mix. He takes two walks daily totaling 1.5 hours and then he plays most of the evening.

It’s a fine activity as long as the puppy isn’t eating the toys. It is an activity but should not be substituted for a good walk. It’s a puppy…they do that….and I wouldn’t expect it to end anytime soon.
You can make it more interactive for that type of breed by changing things for him. Try making him find the toys, and work harder to get them. Those breeds are VERY hard workers and thrive with a job to do.
