Baby Pull
Does your baby pull on your long hair?
Okay- so that’s not really what I wanted to ask, but I wanted the thoughts of this board. I am considering cutting my hair pretty dramatically because my 4.5 month old son loves to get his fingers entwined in my hair.
I’ve always had long hair, but have been considering a move to short for over a year.
Of course, DH is not in agreement with it. If it were his option, I’d look like a young Crystal Gale.
Anyone else chop their locks after their baby was born? How did you feel about it afterwards?
I had hair mid-way down my back after my first was born, and she would just hang off of it, when I leaned down to put her in her crib. So, it was in a ponytail nearly everyday. I finally got tired of the pulling and the daily ponytail, so I chopped it right off into a close crop cut. My husband loved it, and has preferred me in short hair ever since (8 years ago….although I’ve grown in out now and then) and it was so easy to style. Just make sure to get a really good cut…..a razor cut with lots of texture, so you can make it look a little “funky”, and you don’t look too “matronly”. DH will get over it….in fact, he might find it sexy…..like a “new woman” lol. If not, it will always grow back. I say “Go for it!”
