Baby Teething?
My 6 month old is starting to teeth and he cries all day and night. I’ve tried giving him cold teething rings, the baby orajel swabs, i’ve rubbed his gums, noting seems to works, he just gets madder and cries harder. what can I do to soothe his pain?
You can try puttin a washcloth in the freezer and letting it get cold ( not frozen) and allowing him to put it in his mouth.A cold washcloth or chilled teething ring can be soothing. Don’t give your baby a frozen teething ring, however. Contact with extreme cold may hurt, doing your baby more harm than good. If your baby’s eating solid foods, offer cold items such as applesauce or yogurt.
If you are nursing you can help sooth him by nursing; but allowing him to chew on a pacifier or a bottle may also help.
Infant Tylenol really helped with my 5 month old. If he has never taken pain medication, you should consult your physician for how much he should get based on his weight.
