Random Toddler Fears?
This is just a cute question.
My husband went to visit friends of ours and their (just turned 2) son is afraid of Mr. Potato Head. But only if the toy is facing him. If his back is turned, he’s okay with it, but if you turn it around, thier son backs up and says “No potato!” He also doesn’t seem to like his plush toys that have open mouths. Very odd and very cute.
When I was little and we went to the county fairs, apparently I was terrified of the bunny barn. You would think the noisy chicken barn would be scarier but no, I was terrified of fluffy bunnies. I have no recollection of this (I love bunnies!).
So what are your kids’ strange fears? When did they grow out of them?
When I was a toddler I hated wind chimes….i still do!! They make me cringe! My toddler has a fear that every time I put her blankie in the washing machine it will never come back. I have to wash it when she’s sleeping!!
