NWT, Rev. 22:6 and 22:16, who sent the Angel, Jesus or Jehovah?
Someone pointed this out in a previous question. I was wondering which it is and why they are not saying the same thing?
6 And he said to me: “These words are faithful and true; yes, Jehovah the God of the inspired expressions of the prophets sent his angel forth to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place.
16 “‘I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to YOU people of these things for the congregations. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright morning star.’
Did they not put Jehovah there in 16 because we all know he is the offspring of David and the bright morning star?, but the one who sent the angel in Chapter 22 is the same person is it not? or are two angels being sent?

Gary..so is the Lord God, and Jesus the same? One angel was sent right..then Lord God and Jesus must be the same since they both say they sent his angel.
According to the New International Version of the Bible, Revelation 22:6 says that ‘The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel forth…..’ Verse 16 says that ‘I, Jesus, have sent my angel…’
The reference to the ‘bright morning star’ comes from Numbers 24:17 and clearly alludes to Christ Jesus, the Messiah.
Can I just point out that the name ‘Jehovah’ does not appear in any early Greek manuscripts. The name ‘Jehovah’ is a relatively new invention (from the Catholic church) and is a Latin amalgamation of the consonants YHWH and the vowels from ADONAI. The name ‘Jehovah’ should not appear anywhere in the New Testament.
Unless there were two angels sent out separately by the Lord God and by Jesus, then the LORD God (as in YHWH or ADONAI), and Jesus Christ are one and the same.
