Why does an ultrasound tech put blue dots on a picture?
I just had an ultrasound of my thyroid. On one of the still pictures he put blue dots around a dark circle. Can anyone explain the significance of placing these dots on the still?
If there is a nodule suspected, a dot is placed for measurement.
