Okay… I’ll say it: because of lack of imagination (ironically), and the resulting ignorance that comes from the lack of that desire to investigate and understand. Hypotheses take imagination and intelligence, and full testing of those hypotheses takes what can be a very long period of hard work and patient observation. It’s possible that the study never really ends.
