My puppy’s friend….??
Well I own a toy poodle named Tia, she’s 7 months old and she’s so adorable. Now the tendants downstairs have a 11 week old german shepherd/akita puppy named Carter. Now they just love seeing each other, they are such a cute couple, but Carter being so big(and stubborn) won’t take the playing easy on Tia, she is a strong puppy, but sometimes Carter’s owner has to pull him off of her. Tia is spayed so I’m not worried about them mating. But Carter is 40lbs, and Tia is 7lbs…. but they love each other soo much! How can I stop Carter from playing rough, so I can live with two uninjured puppies?
P.S.
I originaly wanted a bigger breed of dog, like Carter, but my mom got me Tia, I love her, but I wish I also had a bigger dog to survive Carter’s…. rambuntiousness….?
keep him on a leash when they are playing and whenever he starts playing ruff give him a tug and a stern “no” that’s what i did to teach my toy poodle louie not to chew on his bed mine is 6 months old.
arn’t toy poodles just the cutest thing i love mine he is so precious.
and when you give him a tug and he backs off reward him. or since he is a big dog get him a shot color my sister in law has a huge slovakian dog that they imported he is about 80 pounds when he is a puppy and they have a shot collar and as soon as it gets put around his neck he is calmer
