i know, i made a HUGE mistake, but i’ve got to get my 14 month old in his own bed!?
I know I broke the cardinal rule, letting my baby sleep in the bed with my husband and myself. It just seemed so much easier at the time.
But now, that we haven’t had hardly any “mommy and daddy” time since he was born, we’ve just got to get him into his crib. He’s sleeps fairly well, wakes up maybe once a night grabs his lovey and drifts back off.
How do I ease the transistion to his crib? I know it won’t be easy in the least, but any ways to make it a little less traumatic would be a great help.
i disagree. it’s called CO-SLEEPING, where you allow your child to sleep with you and your husband. and there are advantages, including better bonding and breathing! (baby hears you breathe, baby breathes.)
now that you’re ready to transition, though, it will take some work. you’ll have to start during the day, putting him down. do NOT play into his con game he will play!

PS My favorite way is starting with the crib IN your room, eventually moving it out and into his own. Do this as quickly as possible, considering your baby’s age!
