Fold Down Rail Crib – What is it? Safe or no?
I am asking here because this crib is 4 years old. It was used once for one baby and then transitioned to a toddler bed. I figured maybe some of you moms over here may have experience or know what this is…
We are looking at purchasing a furniture set. Solid wood very nice. Its a dresser, changing table with hutch and crib. The crib is a fold down rail crib. Apparently the top part folds in half so you can get the baby out easier or you can lock it into place? It doesnt go like a normal drop side crib would but this still has me concerned. Is this safe?? Has these type of cribs been recalled with drop side cribs? I have never heard of a fold down rail crib till now so Im a bit confused and weary of the purchase. Thanks for all the info.
This is a used set of furniture but it’s absolutely gorgeous. I just dont want to be something recalled!
i have never heard of that either but it doesnt sound safe. I would say dont get it. Its just not worth the risk. Or you can go to http://www.recalls.gov/ and check it out.
