Duck Teether
Strange isn’t it?
All the gifts I’ve received for my baby from my mother in law are falling apart or destroyed. She bought this duck stuffed animal that is attached to a silk baby blanket and it just came out of the wash and the seems came undone on the silk and I have to throw it out! It’s very unsafe! She gave me a teether and I boiled it to kill the germs and the stupid thing got all deformed and the cheap plastic melted! It wasn’t that hot! I chalk it up to how I don’t like this woman and this is the Earth’s way of getting rid of her out of my home and my life.
What’s the point of having a baby item (whether it be a blanket, toy, etc.) that can’t be sterilized or washed? I guess she shouldn’t buy me gifts because I actually clean my baby’s things! She on the other hand- doesn’t even understand the word clean!
I know, I know, mother in laws. I have a crazy one too. You have to take the bad (mother in law) with the good (your husband). Let her know that you only are letting your baby play with toys that can be washed and sterilized. I dont let my baby play with anything that I cant wash or sterilize. If she doesnt understand that then throw away or give away anything that doesnt comply. Eventually she will get the point.
