Why are the Spotted Elephant plush toys from Rudolf so rare and expensive?
How many are there in the world for it to be worth $300 and the 6″ around $50-100?
The reason that the Spotted Elephant Plush Toys are so rare is because they were only available one year 1998. The Spotted Elephant Plush Toy that is 11″ tall was a CVS store exclusive and each CVS store only got one of the plush elephants in, and it came with a small book attached to it’s hand. The same year, CVS also had a Hermey Plush Toy holding a spotted elephant, there were more of them made and they were more readily available. The Spotted Elephant Plush Toys were introduced for the 50th anniversary of Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. There were also Hermey the Elf beanies holding a mini spotted elephant made which they made tons of and they can easily be found for around $20 on stores like E-bay. These things are so high in price because they were only available at CVS that year. Madame Alexander made a Wendy doll that came with a plush elephant. To my knowledge, those are the only two companies that ever made a spotted elephant plush.
