First Lovey
How to start the second movement of my symphony?
I’m writing this symphony for my girlfriend… it needs to be very VERY lovey… i finished the first movement with great success, but now i’m stuck on how to start the second movement…. I’m sure once i get started i’ll get going, but for now i’m stuck…
If it helps, the title of the song is “Riva Bella” (in english that is “Beautiful Shore”…) Again, if it helps, the song is primarily in E minor, but i’ve heard many symphonies that change their tonal center for the second movement…
When I write a piece of music for someone, I think about them, or about someone I like more (heh).
For instance, there is this really cute girl that I had a “high school crush” on…I saw her picture once (I haven’t seen her for months now because colleges are far apart!)
Anyways, I saw her picture, got “butterflies” once again…ran to the piano, closed my eyes and played.

What’s it scored for? Full orchestra (as normal)? Are you using a program to write it?
Oh, and just because it’s ‘Symphony in E minor’ doesn’t mean every movement has to be in E minor. Think about parallel and relative Majors, Fifths, Fourths, etc.
