Poll: Funky gerbil or First blow-up doll?
Do you think I should buy this questionable-looking gerbil for my kid for Christmas?
He really wants a pet and I don’t want to buy him a fish because my dad said he’d fry it and eat it when we’re not looking.
But I’m afraid my kid might put the rat-thing in one of those balls and roll him down the stairs. Of course I could just get him a blow-up doll named Heather that I saw advertised on t.v. My son just turned 6 and we just had the birds and the bees talk.
What would you do?

As you know, my spawn is also 6 and he’s getting a bunch of damn Legos. Yep, he’s a Lego nerd who can’t breakdance.
But to answer your question…I’m a huge fan of the critters, especially hairless rats and I think that’s what you should get him. Rats are clean, quiet, super friendly and just plain awesome. I’ve yet to meet a gerbil that likes being held.
