I pay my best friend to watch my puppy when i’m out of town. Am I responsible for damaged goods?

My best friend gets $30 a day to watch my puppy. She’s 6 mos old, and although a sweet heart, she hasn’t learned what to chew and what not to chew… so she requires close supervision and the house should be “puppy proof.” Recently, my puppy chewed up his prescription glasses and he wants me to pay for it. Am i responsible?

I think you should offer to pay at least half of the replacement cost for the glasses. Yeah, your friend shouldn’t have left them down where they could get chewed up, but it is YOUR dog who damaged the glasses. If you want to keep your friend you have to make amends.Next time find a more experienced pet sitter.
