Does your friends make fun of blue collar workers?
My friends are always making fun of them, talking down to them for working for a living. Why do they do this? Note: the guys doing this are students and office workers
I used to make fun of blue collars workers…until I spent a week roofing my friends house. Now I have a whole level of respect for people in the labor sector.
Roofing, along with construction and other “blue collar jobs” is hard work…..really tough, not just on your body but on your mind. But its good, honest work, which builds character.
Working with the same guys for a week, you grow together as a team. Blue collar workers are some of the nicest, down to earth, intelligent people you will ever meet.
Blue collar work is really hard…arriving at the job site early in the morning at 7, and work 12+ hours a day, only taking a short lunch break.
There is no room for laziness when you are working with a crew because everyone is needed to get the job done.
After having worked an entire week up on a roof, I will never make fun of blue collar workers ever again.
