what should a child going to headstart know?
my 4 year old will be starting headstart this summer. (he just turned 4) what kind of things should he already know before he goes? abc’s, 123′s, etc. he knows his abc’s and his numbers up to 20. what can i do to get him ready? i bought every leap frog learning toy i can find, hope they help.
Dont worry about it he has all he needs to start from what you said I can tell. He will love Headstart and learn a lot but you dont need to do any specific thing to get him ready. But there are some things he can learn that will help. Teach him to put on his own shoes and boots. Teach him how to put on his own coat, hat and gloves. Teach him to wash his hands after using the bathroom. Teach him to sneeze into a kleenex not his hand. Teach him how to safely cross the street. But most of all just enjoy him as you not have him all the time any more after he starts school as they grow up sooo fast. Take pictures, go to the park, stop and smell the roses and eat choco cake for breakfast just once to see what it felt like!!
