Fun Ice
Hey does anybody know of some really good fun french ice breakers or games?
I’m going to be in charge of a few students learning French, and i would like to know some really fun french ice breakers, or a game we could play to get started in the French language. Anything you guys might have would be great, thanks!
It depends on the ages and levels.
One game we used to play at French camp (yes, it exists in Minnesota . . . Lac du Bois in Bemidji) was “Mort.”
With a deck of cards, you would count out the number of cards for people playing (15 people, 15 cards). Whoever has the joker would be the “killer.” Everyone puts their heads down, and the “narrator” you explains that when night falls and everyone is asleep, the murderer wakes up.
At this point the murderer raises their head.
You say, “And points to their victim.” The murderer points, then puts their head back down and goes to “sleep.”
You say, “dawn comes and so-and-so is dead . . . who is the murderer?” The students then debate who is the murderer and why they think so. It may take a few rounds to find the person. We always liked it!
