Grasping Toy
How do you get your baby to hold on while standing?
My son has been able to stand up since he was about 2 months old. He loves it. He is now 5 months old. And he will stand holding onto our fingers for long periods at a time but we like to give him a break to rest his legs. I have tried to get him to hold on to other things like the coffee table, couch, or even one of his walking toys but he doesn’t grasp it. I guess maybe it will come with time but I was just wondering if anyone knew any tricks!!
Its his saftey issues. But try holding him from the back face him to something sturdy like the table save the walking toys for another day lean him into the table for him to move his hands to it and let him put weight onto the table and not so much of you supporting him don’t let him go but easily hold on to him. This is what my baby teacher had us do for Katherine but she was much older but was really delayed in lost of stuff! It took time but she got the handle of it so good luck to you!
