Inflated Playing
Do Jimmy Howard and Michal Neuvirth have inflated stats because they play on good teams?
Part of any good team does in fact include good goaltending. Are their records inflated because of the teams they play on? It probably doesnt hurt them, that is for sure but they have to stop pucks if they want to win….there are some talented offensive clubs that cant stop the puck so it would be a mistake to discount what they have done as well. Sometimes it is tougher to be a netminder on good teams as expectations are much higher on the goalie so I would suggest giving credit where it is due, not ready to anoint either as a top netminder but both have the records they do because that is what they have earned.
