Lion Plush
I’m looking for a Sewing pattern for a lion.?
Preferably free since i don’t really have that much time to order one and make it. I can not Crochet or anything i just want to sew. For some reason none of my local stores have any lions. It would be super nice if someone could help me. And i would like it to be a plush, not a puppet or anything. =)
I can find no free patterns for a lion, and I thought I had everything! Here’s a guy who is a master doll and stuffed animal maker,perhaps you can adapt something of his into a lion. http://dolls.nunodoll.com/stuffed/ and his blog: http://nuno-runo.blogspot.com/
The only available current pattern is this one from Vogue: a bunch of cuddly animals including a lion. They are shown in fleece but they can also be made in plush fabrics: http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v7760-products-4339.php?page_id=853 You might want to check a Ebay for some discontinued patterns for stuffed lions, also if you enter “discontinued sewing patterns” into a search engine you’ll find lots of places selling old patterns. You might have better luck finding a nice lion at vintage pattern sites rather than in new pattern. Both Simplicity and Vogue have had stuffed lion patterns in the past, but I could only find the one in the current catalogues. I can find plenty of bears and a few rabbits, but no lions.
