Please tell me what you think about panhandling? ( people begging money)?
i do not mean people getting up in your face or rattling a cup of pennies, or saying inapproiate things when you simply say no, but those who use signs or play musical instruments (well enough for you to enjoy) I am what is called a street musician here in san francisco, ca. and was really wondering if you felt if this was different than some drunk in your face begging for another drink or flying a sign that says “why lie?? it’s for beer” or the pety plea have aids need food.
I am just out to make ends meet until i receive my disability (SSI). and i play well enough to get compliments, i still have a lot to learn but, i do not say more than ty. but the police try to run me off all the time and i think it isn’t the same thing. Am I Sick in the head or what??

Since you’re playing an instrument for your money instead of begging like some pathetic, lazy, wretch of a bum who doesn’t even do anything besides play on people’s emotions like a stinking leach you shouldn’t feel any guilt or anything like it. In fact, i can’t even call what you’re doing “panhandling”. I would call it public performing.
