chenille sweater stain?
i have a bright pink fuschia sweater, that feels like chenille, and at a nye party i spilled fake champagne on it, which wasnt very dark at all, but it really stained the sweater, made it look purple. i tried stain stick and spray and wash, and now goop… any other ideas? thanks!
Try making a paste of borax and water working it gently into the stain. Leave it on there and as it dries add more water to keep the borax moist. Agitate it into the fiber with a soft brush (like a facial or toothbrush). It should start to turn the stain blue and then it will eventually disappear. You are trying to break down the sugars which are holding the food grade dye in the beverage.
