my cat’s sort of adopted a stuffed animal?
my cat, maria, has taken a liking to this little plush lamb toy. it’s about half her size. i’ve only seen her with it once (she was curled up with it in a corner of the room licking it), but i know she must play with it a lot because it’s always in a different position when i get home and no one else is around to move it. i think it’s adorable actually. my theory is that she’s sort of adopted it as a kitten. but that’s just a theory. is there a documented reason behind this behavior?
Its called a Phantom Pregnancy. Her body was tricked into thinking she was pregnant, now she thinks this stuffed toy is her kitten. My nans dog does it occasionally. She breeds the dog every 2nd season.
