Is it OK to use Special Effects hairdye with other dyes?
I just had my highlights redone at the salon but the color is more red than the cool red/purplish red that I prefer. I want to add some purple Special Effects hairdye to some conditioner to give my hair the cooler tone I want and to touch up the color between my next visit so the color doesnt become brassy.
I understand Special Effects is a vegetable dye. Is it safe to try what I want or will I create a disaster for my salonist next time?
I also have a Special Effects mixer/toner that takes the yellow out of bleached hair. Maybe I should use this too?

i had blond high lights once and i wanted them more brown so i tried a dtoner like that and….. it got darker. much much darker. dont do it
