Ring Baby
I have a baby ring tailed possum , I found it , I think a cat has hurt it .?
I am old & can not drive safely at night .
I want to save it . It is cuddled up on my back under my jacket .
Have you any idea what I should do to look after it until the morning when I can drive it to a vet .
It is so cute.
I think it is not well .
I know this may not be the right section but I am not sure where to ask .

I do not normally get on the net on meeting night but I am having trouble sleeping tonight so I checked my emails & I have an email saying you need help .
Ring tail possums are a protected animal whilst I do not believe they are endangered they are protected so do not even think about keeping it as a pet as it is illegal
If it has been bitten or scratched by a cat it is doomed if it does not get the right help . The bacteria from a cat will cause infection even if it is minor , it needs antibiotics .

If they can not , keep it in a safe place , keep it warm . Leave it some fruit to eat & wet the fruit to give it moisture , if it eats that is a good sign .
As soon as you are able too get it to a vet , they will look after native animals at no charge
