Shapes Colors
How do I teach my 3 year old daughter her colors, numbers and shapes.?
Im trying to teach my 3year old daughter her basic colors, shapes, and numbers, but she doesnt stay intetested with the metjod im using. I bought her her favorite charachters number/colors/and Numbers book, and she loves it. So much she just wants to draw. I dont want to push her, but im not sure how to teach her. Any advice from moms out there with experience?
Play is by far the fastest and easiest teaching method for children of this age. Repitition while playing is as easy to do as it is to learn. you can incorporate all of these things into things you do on a daily basis..
for example
I walk ALOT my 2 youngest boys LOVE to count the numbers on letterboxes, Ive watched over the past year how much better my 4 year old has got with his numbers, it can be a bit slow if they “need” to touch the numbers on the letterboxes lol
Colours is the same thing, wherever you go, just point out the different colours of things, instead of saying heres your banana, you can say heres your yellow banana, etc. they pick a lot up as they go along
The same goes for shapes. just simple things like their food, how their sandwhiches are cut (would you like squares, retangles or triangle sandwhiches today?) or how thier veges are cut…
Children pick up so much information, and you may find your daughter knows more than shes saying, as they absorb things on a daily basis. so sounds like youre doing the right things
