Sheep Rattle
Ever have trouble sleeping? Just a bit of fun!?
My wary body sets to work;
slowing my heart,
dropping my lids
-divide and conquer.
My mind however
refuses to conform, it
is filled with one screaming desire:
“INSPIRE ME”
but try as I might, my
normally obedient words
won’t bend to my will
with the looming danger
of the Boogeyman.
My room rattles, and I
tremble with each step he takes.
My breathing
spikes,
that darn Sandman is late
for our standing appointment.
But never mind here come my sheep,
94 on the last count,
right where I left them;
behind my lids.
Just a little fun, wanna try it?
There are many nice things out there to inspire someone. One of them is to believe in good friendship and have good friends! Another is to allow yourself the luxury of being & feeling infinite, with time, so good feelings will come. Now that Irish Mist is all around, I will make sure to send another 3-4 extra nice white sheep, so they will jump around and be your favorite pets. Everything will work fine, I am sure!
