Squeak Rattle
transmission noise at 2000 rpm when can in gear?
There is some kind of metallic squeak / faint rattle when the car in gear at about 2000 rmp and then the noise disappears at about 2500 rpm. all 5 gears affected. Any clues. Car is 5spd integra.
I had a same problem before on my civic. At certain RPM the car will have this noise.
But the problem happens to be in the exhaust. One of the nut that tightend the manifold down pipe to the manifold was loose, so I tightened it and everything is fine.
So check you exhaust from front to back to see if anything is loose ie exhaust bolt, catalytic converter, muffler.
