Teething Blanket
Teething Question: Are babies gums smooth or do they have bumps?
My little one is only 8 weeks old, but she seems to be showing signs of teething, and I was wondering if you agree.
-She has had very loose stool, almost diarrhea but not quite.
-She has had a lot more saliva lately when she eats, it is all over the bottle
-She has been eating every 2-3 hours instead of 3-4.
-She wants to be held nearly at all times, which is unusual for her, she was very happy in her bouncy chair and on her blanket on the floor, and now if you put her down she screams.
-She is constantly putting her hand, arm, and peoples chests and arms that are holding her, into her mouth
-I felt the inside of her mouth and her gums are bumpy, not smooth. Particularly in the back right hand side, and the front top.
-She has had a low grade fever, 99-100 for two days
is she teething or sick?
It could be either.
She is not too young for teething, my son had his first tooth at 2.5 months. Some babies are even born with teeth.
I had twins as well and they both started drooling alot but they did not get teeth until 5-6 months.
The gums are suppost to be smooth but if you feel something it might be a tooth.
