My computer keeps beeping like an ambulance and won’t boot up?
I was trying to clean up my computer from virures cause it was very slow and i also took the chance to also clean it of dust inside. I notice the chasis fan was not working, and the fan on top of the heatsink was extremely dusty, even the heat sink was full of big dust bunnies. I took it apart and cleaned it with a compressed air can. But after putting it back, my pc will only boot up up until the WindowsXP logo and then i’ll freeze and start beeping like an ambulance! Before i cleaned it it would at least boot up all the way, but now it won’t. I’ve made sure the cpu is fitting in properly and the heat sink and fan are secure. I’ve even put thermal paste. I’ve also checked the alarm in bios and the only thing that shows red is the POWER Themperature. I’ve replaced the 325w powersupply for a 375w to see if maybe that was the problem. but nothing has worked. I’m desperate! any suggestions?
I’ve also replaced the memory and even tried reformating the system.
First thought was a mem issue…bad cpu?
Hmm…any errors on boot/post?
BIOS/CMOS issues?
CMOS battery changed?
WHat exactly are your system specs?
