Name me a cute toy-breed for my girlfriend? 
?
For Christmas my girlfriend asked me to adopt her a cute toy-dog. She wants it to be a surprise. Her preferences are:
1) Small
2) Minimal shedding
3) Loyal, friendly and playful.
4) Puppy features. Must be very CUTE!
I’ve looked up many sites but I can’t decide what to get her. Alot of her preferences lead to breeds like poms and they have a very thick coat. I personally wanted a pug but she wanted something furry and cuddly. :s
Any cute toy-breeds with minimal shedding?
If its going to be her dog, she should come with you to adopt this dog, whatever it may be. That is what my husband and I done, although my yorkie wasn’t a “gift” for Christmas or anything, actually we had to wait for a few weeks after the holiday to get him since the breeder, as most reputable breeders do, don’t let their dogs go as ‘gifts’ and during holidays.
My yorkie don’t shed much. Research your toy breeds more, do not fall for any “tea cup” scams, please!
This should be something you both should do, dogs are lifetime companions, not presents to bestow upon a loved one..and a few months later something happens, and the dog has to be dumped into a shelter- happens a lot with Christmas puppies.
You can both find the right dog for her and then you can suprise her with something else- not breathing- gift. She’ll like the thought behind it, really. I’m glad my husband didn’t try to do something like that.

have her go over them, research on the breeds she happens to like and decide which one suits yours and her’s lifestyle. Don’t rule out animal shelters, there are purebreds that end up in shelters. You can try petfinder for one: search by city,state and by breed.
