Is it okay to machine wash a baby gym playmat?
I have been given a baby gym by a friend. It is beautiful, but has a stain on it where some ribena or something similar has been spilt.
Do you think it will be okay to machine wash it on a delicate cycle? It is padded and covered in a cotton fabric with velour pieces, has various squeaks, rattles and crinkle effect patches. I don’t want to ruin it!
If the toys come off of the mat, you can wash it in the machine. Wash in Warm water with regular detergent. The “Crinkle” can withstand machine washing. Hang to air dry. Do not machine dry…the “Crinkle” could melt in the Dryer.
If the toys do not come off, you can cut them off and then machine wash it.
I wouldn’t wash the mat with the toys attached.
