How hard is it to get an intership at Walt Disney in Orlando FL ?
I am going into my 3rd year in college and I read about the student program at Walt Disney. Has anyone ever participated in their program? How hard hard is it to get an internship there ? What to expect during the interview ? What is it like working there ?
I am currently doing the College Program in Walt Disney World and I LOVE IT! The phone interview was the most nerve-wracking part, but then it’s over. I’m not sure what the statistics are for how many people apply and how many people get accepted/don’t get accepted but there are a few thousand people in the program.
Just be yourself in the interview (and PAY ATTENTION to the web interview. Some people don’t even make it past the web interview so make sure you focus, stay in an area with no distractions, and be honest).

To me, it didn’t seem very hard to get the internship but it’s different for everyone. The most important things are to be yourself, be honest, and smile when you talk (they can hear a smile through the phone). And remember, they will ask you what you think you’d bring to the program and why you want to do the program. It’s not just a big vacation, it’s actually a job.
When working there, expect to work A LOT (depending on where you work…). You only get two days off per week unless you ask for time off. But, like I said before, it’s a job so it’s all part of the experience. I seriously love it. I work in Attractions and I’m having the time of my life.
